The Truong Son Mountains west of Da Nang, central Vietnam, are home to the hill station and resort known as Bà Nà Hill Station (or Bà Nà Hills). The station was built in 1919 by French colonists and is touted as the "Da Lat of Danang Province" by the local tourism board. The colonists had constructed a resort for French tourists to enjoy. It provides a stunning view of the east sea and the surrounding mountains because of its elevation of more than 1500 meters above sea level. Because of the resort's elevation, temperatures are 10 to 15 degrees lower than those found near the ocean. There is a cable car stationed near the Linh Ung Pagoda, making it easy for visitors to get to and from the resort. For the longest non-stop single track cable car, the Ba Na Cable Car, which was launched on March 29, 2013, holds the world record at 5801 meters. The Golden Bridge (Cu Vàng) is the city's newest tourist attraction.
